April 20, 2010 Congratulations to Padre Karl McLean recently named the next Canadian Forces Chaplain General. Colonel McLean will be promoted to the rank of Brigadier-General and assume command of the Chaplain Branch later this year. He was ordained deacon and priest in Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton and served as curate at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Saint John and was rector of the Parish of Shediac until he was recruited to the Canadian Forces in June 1987.

29 April 2008 - Condolences to the family of Leona Calabrese of Minto who died on Wednesday, April 16. She is survived by her son Hazen and daughters Hazel, Bonnie, Alice and Bernadette. Hazel is a member of diocesan council and she and her sisters are all faithful members of Mothers' Union serving at the parish, diocesan, national and international levels. Mrs. Calabrese funeral was held in Minto yesterday (April 28).
