Jan. 31, 2012 The Rev. Dr. Brian Spence is appointed priest and rector of the Parish of Ludlow and Blissfield effective Feb. 1, 2012. Mr. Spence holds a B.A., from the University of King’s College, an M.A. from Dalhousie University, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Theology from Toronto School of Theology. He was ordained a Deacon in 1997 and priest in 1998 and served in the Diocese of Nova Scotia from 1998 to the present.

July 5, 2011 Jonathan Springthorpe of Wycliffe College, is appointed to the Parish of Musquash as a Theological Student on a 2/3 time basis for an initial period of nine months effective August 1. He is licensed to work under the supervision of the Archdeacon of St. Andrews (the Ven. Vicars Hodge). During this unusual appointment Jonathan will finish his education and at that time the appointment may be extended.

Reginald MacKinnon, having been admitted to the office of priest in The Anglican Church of Canada, has voluntarily relinquished the exercise of that ministry according to the terms of Canon XIX of the General Synod of The Anglican Church of Canada. This relinquishment is effective from June 24, 2007.

Colonel McLean will be promoted to the rank of Brigadier-General and assume command of the Chaplain Branch later this year. He was ordained deacon and priest in Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton and served as curate at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Saint John and was rector of the Parish of Shediac until he was recruited to the Canadian Forces in June 1987.

Hazel is a member of diocesan council and she and her sisters are all faithful members of Mothers' Union serving at the parish, diocesan, national and international levels. Mrs. Calabrese funeral was held in Minto yesterday (April 28).
