THE CURRENT CALENDAR

Jan. 12-13 The Rev. Dr. George Sumner of Wycliffe College (Toronto) is in New Brunswick to connect with Wycliffe’s friends,  alumni/ai, supporters, students and potential students. Meet him for dinner in the Parish of Rothesay (6 for 6:30 on the 12th at St. Paul's on Rothesay Common) RSVP to Albert Snelgrove (albert.snelgrove at anglican.nb.ca). On the 13th he preaches (10 a.m. service) at the Church of the Resurrection in the Theatre of River Valley Middle School in Grand Bay, an opportunity for fellowship and conversation follows. For dinner that day (again 6 for 6:30) he will be at St. John’s Church, Parish of Douglas & Nashwaaksis, Main Street in Fredericton. PWRDF Refugee and Emergency Relief Programs

On every continent there are communities in crisis where people's lives have been severely or totally disrupted; where people have been forced to leave their homes and live as inernally displaced communities or as refugees.The causes of these disruptions include natural or human made disasters and/or oppressive, unjust or ill-advised socio-economic, political and environmental policies and practices. The consequences of such disruptions are hardest on impoverished and marginalized peoples. PWRDF provides emergency relief to world-wide humanitarian disasters that severely disrupt peoples lives and negatively impact on their ability to cope.

Chaplaincy in a correctional milieu
Women and men who are incarcerated need chaplains to journey with them as they reclaim the dignity of a renewed life and prepare to return to community. Are you called to respond to this challenge in relation to your incarcerated sisters and brothers?
The Atlantic Region of Correctional Service of Canada has need for a Roman Catholic or Protestant chaplain to provide service in English at the Atlantic Institution in Renous.

The Anglican Diocese of Ottawa and the Eastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada each have a full-time position available in a shared ministry in Ottawa. NEWS OF THE WIDER CHURCH

Building project responds to Brooklin's rapid growth

(New building will be the first Anglican church in the diocese to be heated and cooled using geothermal energy, which is generated by heat stored beneath the Earth’s surface. This energy is safe and environmentally friendly, because it reduces reliance on fossil fuels.)
