About PWRDF in New Brunswick
It All Began Here!
Mission Statement
PWRDF is a response by Canadian Anglicans to the gospel call to bear witness to God's healing love in a broken world. Inspired by the vision of a spirit-filled community of hope, PWRDF walks together with partners in Canada and overseas to share in the creation of a more just and peaceful world. In joy and struggle, the Primate's Fund engages in development work, responds to emergencies, works to protect refugees, and educates and advocates for change.
Our Diocesan
PWRDF Coordinator :
On 27 January 2009, Bishop Miller announced the
appointment of
Anne
Walling of
Bloomfield,
Parish of Central
Kings,
to the position of Diocesan PWRDF coordinator.
The role of
the coordinator is to be a liaison between the PWRDF National office and
the bishop, clergy, and people of the Diocese of Fredericton, and to
assist the parish representatives.
The parish representatives in over 900 parishes across Canada are the backbone of PWRDF partnership. "The parish reps need to understand the importance of their role and how crucial their input is to the overall working of PWRDF." The clergy also play a part in encouraging the work of PWRDF, as the parishioners look to them for direction.
